About Liar:
Ben is a great example of a character who is largely dishonest with himself... the status quo does not address his own happiness. The growing toxicity is slowly destroying him.

ELISE HODGE - "Sherry"
I am so pleased to be getting stage for this production. Having appeared as Sister Mary Kate in Beggars in the House of Plenty, the dual role of Colleen/Sister Mary Lucille in Catholic School Girls, a rather man hating crank in Female Dogs, a strung out dope addict in Ladies Who Lunch, and a myriad of roles in the monologue play Vital Signs, its awesome to play a role that is one I truly relate to.
I got my start with The 68 Cent Crew Company in LA about 7 years ago where I've not only acted, but directed, produced and had my own full length play performed. I am pleased to be producing and acting in this production with the effervescent Kara Ow, the playful Kevin Kirtlan, down to earth Eric Baldwin and the enigmatic Dan Fagan.
About "Liar":
I found this play in one of my marathon afternoons at Sam French down on Sunset Blvd. I started reading and couldn't put it down so right then I knew it was something to consider producing. Its an all too relateable story in many ways, showing how tragedy brings about estrangement between couples and families. How do we heal from that and move forward again. Can we? Sometimes, we can't. And how do others influence us, help us, hurt us on this journey?
The character of Sherry is one I found heartbreaking and yet so true with many women who loose a child. This story comes in years after the loss but the blame and the power of it are still so prominent in her relations with her husband Ben. She's shut down emotionally. Her journey to finding a way to come out the other side of her anger and depression is one that I think many will understand.
