SO amazing when art randomly parallels! A recent hit by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera titled "Say Something" says so much about our current show. If After Hours had a music video, it might be like this: This Thanksgiving Weekend: Performances Run Fri/Sat. ONLY 8pm

And they're off like the races! Were there to be an announcer giving a run down, it might go something like this... Nola takes the lead closely followed by Jeanie B. Hot on her heels is the young stud Riley. Virginia is almost neck and neck with Riley, but she is being hotly pursued by the charming and deviant Duncan! Plodding along in the rear is the ever vigilant Georgie. But wait! Riley has taken over Jeanie B, determined to over take the domineering Nola... Virginia and Duncan are steady at the middle of the pack and here comes Georgie! Georgie is taking on Duncan! Virginia is all at her own speed now as Duncan and Georgie duke it out. Riley drops back to pace with Jeanie B, but surges ahead back to take on Nola! Holy Toledo, Georgie is now moving up the pack and taking out Virginia! He flies by Riley and Jeanie, and is now in the battle for the lead with Nola! Oh what a fight this is. But .. oh, Georgie... he falls back and Jeanie B. steps up to the challenge. She's going strong, going strong... but now its Virginia closely followed by Duncan. No one can quite seem to take over that incredible lead Nola has. They all drop back, to the middle, leaving Riley as the final challenge.... Riley fights, he catches up, now he's neck and neck.... OH WHAT A RACE THIS IS!! Now its just Riley and Nola fighting for the lead... who will cross the finish line first? You'll have see the show to find out. :) TICKETS: www.emhpros.weebly.com under the tab Theatre Shows General Admission: $20 cash at the door or Check out SNR for Sweet Deals! Two nights ago, we did what is known as an Italian Run: where the actors run the show, in the most ridiculous way possible. It was the most laugh out loud, side splitting night and I can't thank them enough for the amazing translation of my words into well.... we are thinking of doing this again for you all one night just because its too much! This play is a drama yes, but take it over the top, add in some accents, a valley girl, and some serious melodrama, you've got a show that defies to you laugh yourself silly. This crew of talent has been such a true pleasure to work with. Want to have your heart moved? They will.. again and again and again. Atim, a newcomer to the Sacramento theatre community, recently played the roles of Francine/Lena in Capital Stage’s production of the Pulitzer-Prize winning CLYBOURNE PARK. Seeing her perform in this show was truly wonderful and I know many of you saw it! When she auditioned for the role of Nola... as the playwright and the director, it was a truly strange and wondrous experience to have someone walk into the room and just be Nola, given I had written the role initially for myself and performed it once two years ago. I didn't know what to expect from those coming in and was excited to see a different portrayal of Nola. Being so close to the material, I wanted to see something new about it. She definitely brought that, as well as the complete essence of who Nola is, a piece of myself. When discussing the character of Nola, Atim expressed that she had found much of herself in this role, which is a change as usually she has to find ways not to be herself, the job of any great actor. She has not experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer, but has a great understanding of the need to nurture and be there for those in need. A kindred spirit indeed. :) Her beauty of soul leaps from the stage and inspires the heart. I can't wait for you all to experience this journey of AFTER HOURS. A longtime member of a dance-theatre company, she was noted for her performance as Helena in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.
