"MOVING MOUNTAINS is CHARMING, FUN AND POIGNANT!"
Thanks everyone for attending this past weekend. Moving Mountains really did move you all and we can't wait for more of you to see what the fun is all about! AND WIN TICKETS FOR UPCOMING LOCAL SHOWS WITH EMH PRODUCTIONS, DAN FAGAN, OVATION STAGE, FREE FALL STAGE, GREEN VALLEY THEATRE COMPANY, and B ST. Theatre! We managed already to raise over $100 in raffle monies for our chosen charity this past weekend: Sacramento Senior Safe House.
When I first read this play, what struck me wasn't the farce of it, so much as the beauty in the message. I love that such a timeless piece of writing can remind us to not be "so narrow", and to see beyond our own limitations we've set upon ourselves. My cast tease me about being a baby, yet I am coming on middle age here quickly but no more feel it than someone at 67 feels their age. It is only when our bodies or minds betray us that we remember we are not as young as 20. Yet, we feel we are the same as we ever were. I appreciate that more and more.
This show means a great deal to me. It is the last in a series of plays I started with "My Fellow Creatures". This one has taken the most work from me as I am producing, I directed a chunk of it, am acting in it and built the set for it. I'm proud of it, of all the work I've done. It means more than I can say to share it with an audience, family and friends.
Most of all, I am so thankful for the support so many of you have given. If I named names here, I would miss someone and feel terrible so hopefully you all know I see you attend and am pleased and proud and honored to have you for an audience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for seeing the work and enjoying and continuing to support it. Pass it on to your friends to come see it and THANKS A MILLION!!!
