How do you know if you want to spend the rest of your life with someone? Well, definitely don't go ask your parents who clearly "lost that lovin' feeling" somewhere after "I do" and before "A baby? huh!".
Meet Allen and Michelle, a young couple who have come to that precarious point of deciding on the merits of marriage after living together for the past 18 months. Michelle wants to, Allen isn't so sure. When they each go home to seek out the advice of their parents, startling and comic revelations unfold. Michelle's father isn't aware his 8 month affair he's been trying to get out of has been with Allen's mother, and Michelle's mother isn't aware the man she just met and spent a rather romantic evening with is Allen's father. The pieces fall into a Neil Simon type hilarity when the parents gather to lend their maturity and experience to their children. It's suddenly everyone for themselves in this night of high stakes comedy and drama. UPDATE:
I know... I know... Sigh. Three times the charm I guess. Want to know why this is so hard? Well:
I usually only apply for the rights to shows as an amateur production company. As such, larger and "professional" (meaning Union Paying) companies always get priority to do shows. So, thanks to someone somewhere holding onto the rights although they apparently are not performing it anywhere within the designated 100 miles, I am still unable to get rights. It will happen and I will keep you all posted!! Thank you again for your support of EMH. I am proud to do theatre here, bringing you though provoking, fun, dramatic or just plain silly material to consume. ENJOY! |
