WHY EMH?
Writers are the backbone of the entire entertainment industry. Without our stories, there would be no reason to have producers, directors, actors, and crew. We are what begin the whole process of bringing to life the world we want to see on stage or on the screen.
EMH is here to help you get your work off the ground and onto the next phase! I work with each writer individually to craft a plan of attack to get you where you want to go: Stage, Film, or Internet. Services EMH Offers: - A range of editing options from a basic grammar and spell check to a full fledged in depth mentorship of the piece in question. - Production of your script be it for stage, film or internet viewing. This entails a wide range of services that would be discussed in person. - Mentorship or consultation on your project as needed. A cost analysis and breakdown is crafted per individual, as each person's needs are unique and budgetary concerns are project specific. EMH will work with you to find the most cost effective way to get your words out there! |
ABOUT ELISE:
Elise began her writing career in grade school really, but professionally she started with a one-act play writing development committee with her theatre company in LA back in 2007. She helped implement a playwrights program to encourage fledgling writers within the company to find their voice through 10 minute plays. She helped edit, rewrite and bring to stage over 40 pieces during her time with Theatre 68.
Her first full length play, After Hours, was produced in concert with Theatre 68 in 2011 and then again in Sacramento on her own in 2013. She has since produced another of her own works in 2018, Fragile Things. In 2015 she spearheaded a series called Motel California. Writers were given a set of parameters to create an episode for the web show and then it was produced as seen on the EMH web channel. Currently, a playwrights workshop is in development with Scott Charles and other writers to have a place to fully sound out their material. Readings of plays, screenplays or internet content scripts are welcome so please contact Elise if you are intersted in joining the group. |
